Approaching logistics in a logical manner

Coordinating the freight delivery for exhibitions and conference related trade shows through a professional can have positive spin-offs in the area of health and safety as well as in time and cost.

Big Day Out 2009

Ever since the Big Day Out Festival was established in New Zealand in 1994 Airryde Freight Services have been involved with the logistics for the event. 2009 will be our biggest challenge to date. The last act finishes in Auckland at 11.30pm on Friday 16th January and the first act is on stage on the gold coast in Australia at 11.00am on Sunday 18th January. Our Task is to move all the bands and their associated equipment as well as the total production equipment to Australia in time for the second show of the festival. We have chartered a 747 freighter to achieve the move.

As bands come off stage after their performances their equipment will be loaded directly onto airline pallets, which in turn will be ferried to the airport to be check weighed and loaded onto the freighter awaiting depature. Lift off should be around 8.00am on Saturday morning 17 january 2009.
